Sergi Gimenez Carreras has born in Barcelona. He has developed his musical studies with María Massiá, Gino Bechi (Italy), Folkwgang HochSchule (Germany),  Isabel Penagos and David Mason (Madrid); and has also realised masterclasses with great singers like Montserrat Caballé, Virginia Zeani and his own Oncle Josep Carreras. Studies of arts in the Central University of Barcelona and has completed this realising during 3 years acting and contemporany dance lessons. Has realised recitals under the protection of  Ítaca (Tarragona) and Vilacasas (Festival of Torroella de Montgrí) private foundations.

In his remarcable work as singer and investigator has also discovered some forgotten spanish Operas from really important composers :

- “Liliana” from Enrique Granados, performed  in Espai Brossa Theater (Barcelona).

- “Lancelot” from Isaac Albéniz, represented in Eduard Toldra Hall (Barcelona).

-“Follet”, lyric drama from E. Granados represented  in Salón de Ciento (Barcelona city Hall), Gran Teatre del Liceu, Lleida’s Cathedral and  Auditori Pau Casals (El Vendrell, Tarragona).

Also has recorded this last opera with the  discographic company ColumnaMúsica. Has performed in the theatral work ”Sade” in Grec’ summer Festival of Barcelona (capella singing), and in the primed video-creation ”Egonauta”.

Has realised concerts in: Espai Barroc, Luz de Gas, Casal del Metge, Conservatori del Bruc in Barcelona, and many recitals and concerts arround Spain. Also has sung in many diferent places in Italy and Germany.

Member of Box Opera music company, Ílica group (dedicated to discover spanish unknown scores) and has work with Comunidad de Madrid in its summer festival and other spanish locations with Blau Kamara and Fonos Quartets. Also has realise concerts under protection of The Gibraltar Philarmonic Society with The European Sinfonietta. Special premium in the summer course of Santiago “Musica en Compostela”. He has sung the main roles in Tosca, La Bohême, Carmen, some complete Spanish Zarzuela like Luisa Fernanda in diferent  places of Spain and Don Alvaro’s role in La Forza del destino in Teatro Avenida of Buenos Aires. Recently he has sing in Frankfurt some Gala Puccini, Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto and the role of Alfredo in Die Fledermaus.
